I host with great pleasure the first edition of the International Luxury Travel Exhibition in Lugano and I am delighted that my City has been chosen as privileged location for hosting this event which represents a unique event on the national level; an exclusive meeting that wants to create a network amongst international operators and elite destinations which will meet to present the new trends of a fascinating niche market. In our country, it is a real and important tradition creating luxury goods which contribute with a great extent to the GDP and to the employment and richness of the nation. Therefore, the development of high-level structures is facilitated for a clientèle which wants to enjoy high standards.
This event importantly contributes to the definition of one of the strategic objectives of the City, which is ready to launch the trade and congress sector with particular interest.
Therefore, I address a particular acknowledgment to the professionalism of the organizers wishing them the well-deserved success and satisfaction for all participants of the event.
